Santa Marina-Viana-Plaza de Capuchinos

Having conquered Córdoba, Fernando the Third established two distinct administrative zones in the city: the western part, la Villa, which was older and housed the treasures of the Romans, Visigoths and Muslims, and the eastern part, la Axerquía, which was fundamentally Christian. On this tour, we will discover the other Córdoba, la Axerquía, the part that appears less in tourist guides and is overshadowed by the part full of monuments. By exploring this part, we will discover another reality of Córdoba’s history by taking its medieval churches, former mosques, magnificent Baroque buildings, former convents, palaces, holidays and traditions, customs, from the most divine to the most humane in the ‘Cristo de los Faroles’. Your eyes and your senses will be opened to another Córdoba.
